Noordhoff and Codename Future Joined Forces to Strengthen Core Skills Education

Noordhoff and Codename Future officially joined forces to further enhance the development of core skills in Dutch secondary and vocational education. The partnership provides a strong foundation to realize their shared ambition: preparing young people for active participation in society and the workplace.

Founded in 1995, Codename Future has been the market leader in citizenship and career education within vocational education (mbo). The organization develops materials for and by young people, with initiatives like the Young Reporters youth team to keep learners engaged and empowered.

Noordhoff, a leading educational publisher, has a broad offering in core skills and is the market leader in Dutch language education for vocational students. Known for its flexible and well-structured learning materials, Noordhoff continues to play a key role in improving foundational skills.

The integration of Noordhoff and Codename Future formally began on January 1, 2025, and has been progressing in phases since then. The existing offerings and services of both organizations remain in place. The collaboration also focuses on developing new, innovative programs that put motivation, relevance, and skills development at the center.

Martijn Spekman, Managing Director at Codename Future is excited about the new opportunities ahead. “In Noordhoff, we’ve found a partner who understands our mission. Together, we can scale our impact and further strengthen our core value: co-creating education with young people.”
