Herberth Samsom to succeed Taco Morelisse as CEO of Infinitas Learning
After more than six years as CEO of Infinitas Learning, Taco Morelisse has
decided to step down, effective March 1, 2025. He will be succeeded by
Herberth Samsom. During February, Taco will transfer his executive
responsibilities to Herberth to ensure a smooth transition.
Taco consistently pursued his ambition for Infinitas: “building a high-performing
team with a passion for education and the ambition to transform Infinitas
Learning into a leading player in the K12 market.” He focused on fulfilling the
company’s mission to “improve learning outcomes.” Under his leadership,
Infinitas Learning has achieved remarkable success, and nearly doubled in size.
In 2021, Taco successfully led the sale of Infinitas Learning to NPM, followed by
the inclusion of Futurewhiz in the group. He then spearheaded a successful buy-
and-build strategy, leading to the acquisition and integration of Averbode
(Belgium), LeYa (Portugal), and WSiP (Poland) in subsequent years.
As Infinitas Learning enters a new phase, this transition provides a fitting
moment for Taco to hand over leadership to Herberth and dedicate time to his
personal goals and non-executive ambitions.
Quote Taco Morelisse:
“The past six years have been a very rewarding period. We’ve achieved a lot and
I am pleased to pass the leadership on to someone who shares the values and
goals of our organization. Herberth has a strong track record in building
international businesses, and I am confident that, under his leadership, Infinitas
Learning will continue to build its position in the market.”
Quote Herberth Samsom:
“I am honored to take on the role of CEO and excited to continue working
closely with the talented team at Infinitas. Together, we will build on the strong
foundation laid by Taco and further our mission to improve learning outcomes
across Europe.”
Herberth is already well-acquainted with our business and has played a key role
in shaping our priorities over the past year. He will build on this foundation,
working closely with the entire Infinitas Learning leadership team to drive our
mission forward.
We extend our gratitude to Taco for his visionary leadership and commitment to
Infinitas Learning. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
