Jerzy Garlicki

Jerzy Garlicki graduated from the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University and holds an MBA from the University of Warsaw and the University of Illinois. Before joining Wydawnictwo Szkolne i Pedagogiczne (WSiP), he built a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry, notably serving as President of the Polish branch of AstraZeneca from 2003 to 2009. He also held the role of Senior Executive Director for Emerging Markets at AstraZeneca Global, where he was responsible for implementing innovative projects across more than 30 markets worldwide. During his tenure in Poland, AstraZeneca became the fastest-growing pharmaceutical company in the country.
Since 2011, Jerzy Garlicki has served as the President of WSiP, one of Poland’s largest and most innovative educational companies. Under his leadership, WSiP has pursued a development strategy focused on creating innovative educational solutions that address both individual and societal needs, equipping learners to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving world.
In recent years, WSiP has significantly expanded its range of modern educational services, offering not only traditional textbooks but also digital educational products and teacher training. The company now provides comprehensive educational solutions across all levels of the school system, as well as in extracurricular and professional development segments.
