Bernard Al |

Bernard Al was the Managing Director of Wolters-Noordhoff for three years before becoming CEO of Wolters Kluwer Professional Training in 1994, and eventually CEO of Wolters Kluwer
Netherlands from 1997 until 2000.
Before entering the world of business, Bernard was a full-time professor of French Linguistics at the Free University of Amsterdam, and has a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Utrecht University.

Bernard remains very much involved in the publishing industry and has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Dutch based Jongbloed Printers & Publishers BV since 1994. He is also currently a member of the supervisory board of the book distributor Centraal Boekhuis BV, which is collectively
owned by the Dutch Publishers Organisation and the Dutch Booksellers
Organisation.
